Real Images Video Productions Inc. Adds Tom Alvarez
Veteran Indianapolis Producer Joins Staff 

 

Indianapolis, Indiana, January 5, 2009 - William Reliford, Executive Producer and owner/operator of Real Images Video Productions Inc. announced that well-known broadcaster, video/film producer/director, and free lance journalist, Tom Alvarez, has joined the company’s creative team as a producer and writer.

Alvarez began his career as a producer/director and talent for WRTV, Channel 6 where he worked for nearly 15 years.  Later he owned and operated his own film and video production company, The Alvarez Group, for ten years.  Upon a career switch to the non-profit sector, Alvarez became the Executive Director of the Edyvean Repertory Theatre and later was Executive Director of Beacon Health Foundation and Development Director for Fairbanks Hospital.  Eventually Alvarez formed Alvarez Resource Group, a strategic communications and fund development consulting firm but returned to the production arena when he worked for Ideavenue Productions as an account executive and producer.  Along the way, he also became known for his by-line as a free lance journalist, writing for publications such as the Indianapolis Star, Indianapolis Monthly, Indianapolis Recorder and NUVO.  Finally, the recipient of numerous awards and honors, Alvarez, has also been actively involved in community affairs and has served on many civic boards and committees.
